Question
Can FPV take down other planes?

Just wondering if my 500mW 900mhz system can have any possible impact on anyone else flying at my field. No one else flys FPV at my field, so I'm not worried about that, just if they're some chance that my video might somehow affect their RC. I'm flying 72mhz so I'm already having to check people for that.

Thanks,
Jon

No, why would you think that's even a possibility?

nope, you're good to go as far as video. Just take regular precautions with your rc channel as usual.

I'm glad you live far away from me.

Instead of worrying about yourself maybe you should worry about the possible problems you might be causing other people.

just think this, you video transmitter is probably less than a foot away from your RC receiver. If it doesn't affect you, how would it affect others much further away? It is why I don't use 2.4G video however.

You can use a 2.4ghz video transmitter. Just keep it about ~20 feet away from the other plane. You'll find the 2.4ghz RC radios will walk all over your video link if your not careful.

I did some testing back when Spektrums came out. Having the 2.4ghz video link on board with a 2.4ghz RC link was bad.. However if a 2.4ghz RC link was in another plane there wasn't any problems.
