DIY flybarless head

I have a CopterX 3 axis gyro -- And decided to mod an existing head ...

Hmm , ??? is it ok ?

Works smooth , very little slop

I think it should work.. I did the same but unfortunatly I dropped the heli on the floor and it fell head down breaking one of the blade grips. So didn't get a chance to try it.

That is not going to work....The blade grip push rods have to connect directly to the swash plate...

The washout arms invert the cyclic input, but also they're acting on the other side of the head so it ought to work. More elegant to get them out of the picture but it looks like it would fly.

Yeah

Problem 1

Finding cotrol rods long enough !

I did order some :

But wanted to try this way first .. As it does function correctly .. + using original parts .

I have a few spare heads , so I may try straight from the swash plate to the blade grips ...

it should work but the geometry is not going to be pretty you may end up with some very strange settings in your FBL controller
