Hi all

I have an opportunity to purchase a RVOSD 5 used and was curious at this time would you buy another 5 or get the 6 or something different? I guess in a nutshell are you happy with your RVOSD 5 or has it been "outdated"

Cheers
Chris

Gen5 is a very capable device. I believe it will be firmware upgradable to have lots of the G6 features. If you are looking for an OSD with great stabilization and simple to setup RTH you need look no further.
The 6 will have hardware for telemetry and RC link integrated eventually.
Your requirements will determine whether 5 or 6 will fit the bill. Im flying regularly with 2 G5s, and still using a G4 upgraded to G5. And a G1 occasionally.

G5 is a great plug and play system ... Worked great for me for many hours of flying

I don't own a g6 so can't comment ... But if I were to buy a new osd .. That would be it

Hi everyone.
I think that mine Static Consumption is too high, I'm using a regular plane with 4 servos and I have two VTX, one is 5.8 Ghz 200mw and other is 1.2 Ghz 1500mw. The Static Consumption of both then is 1,1 - 1,2A. I saw many videos that static consumption does not exceed 0,5A.
In both setups my video camera and VTX working at 12v and I don't have auxiliar battery. Can be for this?

Anyone have this consumption in your setup?

Thanks Ricky971,
Yes i read a post or two about defective cable or board pins going bad.
The truth is that the fix was inconclusive and that is why i ask.

Glad to hear that you have second thoughts about selling the system.

I get random GPS disconnected error too even after changing the cable 2 times.

i will try to locate the pads and solder them directly.

i remember a post with the pads position that you need to use but can't find it.
