Question
Can this be right?? Multiplex Merlin (stock power set) folding prop looks wrong.

Guys... this is my first folding prop this angle looks very wrong to me though! I expect that the spinning blades should form a flat disk (like a standard prop) rather than a cone.

Other than the obvious (that the mount isn't glued on yet!!) is the angle of these blades right? I just don't see what I can to to adjust that.

Thanks for taking a look and happy new year!!

the centrifugal force keeps the blades straight at rpm , the blades should not be too tight so they can move

Cool... thanks, Mark.

I'm going to spool it up and see what happens!

I works!!

I had visions of the hub ripping itself apart and ruining a hard to find power set... so I wanted to ask first.

Thanks!!

I usually fit a tiny wedge in each side to stop the blades going so far forward... if they are that far forward at rest you might experience problems at start up.

as long the blades rotate smooth and can be folded back to the fuse then there is nothing wrong.

in flight the wind will push the blades back anyway so how you show it on the picture will never happen in flight.
If you are worried spool up slowely the first time and you will see its fine.
