Anyone tried a Dr Mad Thrust 1200 kv motor?

Thanks
I've only flown a few times but I have an HET 700-68-1200 using 12s in my Victory Jet.

No problems so far.

very nice Colorado.
I have sent the motor back to HET for repair and have ordered a 4074 - 1200 from HobbyKing.
Probably the motor will return from Het before the HK one turns up. I'd prefer to stick with HET but the HK motor gives me another option to try just in case

I was curious about the Turnigy xk line. I can find the xk4074, but it is 1400kv and thexk3665 at 1200kv.
Nice and cheap, anyone have experience with these?
The 4074 seemed to test ok.

Looks a lot like the Jefco/Chatfield. Did they repave the runways? I used to be a member when I lived in Denver (1990-1995). Nice field. Are you a member of the Jefco Club?

If you can afford a JF, why put a $38.73 motor on it?

For now, Het is my choice, but, one day I'd like to see what a Neu 1518/1.5Y would do in it!

Why not? True, HK motors can be hit or miss but so can Het's. I've run a few HK motors and they run fine also had a few Het motors and one is fine one is toast. NEU's are great motors but way too expensive for most. Bang for the buck is HK and Het, they're pretty similar.

Very rare for a HET motor to fail like that from my experience, have sold literally thousands of the things over the years and had so few faulty motors I reckon I could count them on 2 maybe 3 hands

Maybe in your book, -- not mine! I'll be damned if I'll gamble a 1 year/ $1200 scratch build project on a cheap $40.00 motor. But to each his own.

Happy flying!

I have a neu 1415 1.5y for my JF. I was hoping someone could tell me why I shouldn't use the Turnigy xk line of motors . E Jets saw it fit to test, and I won't simply discount something based on it's cost alone.

Yes I am a member.

They repaved quite a few years ago. However they have them sprayed every
2 to 3 years.
