We added a secret amigo last night his plane is all ready to go and this guy can fly, probably one of the best pilots.

It may be too late Tom, but your best bet (if not the cheapest) are Dull Cote and Gloss Cote from Testors.
They come in small cans and you might have to use 3 or 4 for the Zephyr, but they produce the best result IMHO. They are compatible with Tamiya and dry fast.

The gloss black definitely looks more mean. I may sand it and paint the whole canopy black. Hmmm...
