Geez when I bought the kit a couple of years ago it was $100. Now there's an ARF for only $139. That's amazing. I hope Gary sells as many as he sold in kit form. Its a great plane.

Just got my kit flying. I liked the building, but I am glad to know that there will be a replacement if/when I put this one in. I am waiting to see what the dry weight is on the ARF. My kit weighs 46 oz RTF with an AXi 2826 and 3S TP 4000 ProLites.

Oh so tempting... I just started a kit as I love to build. If anybody gets a chance please take closeups of the wing and fuselage... I am making my wing removable.
Hrm... $30 more dollars for covering... Possbily I should finishing framing up and also get an ARF ....

Nice plane, nice price. Such a shame it's moved to where the 'recommended' power setup is an expensive hacker and more expensive lipoly.... far cry from it's roots with an endo and 10 round cell pack.

The arf will accept the inexpesive gd600 gearbox with an endo just like the original kit. We wante dthe firewall to accomodate both gearbox and outrunner installations, so the way it is, each bolts right in. The arf I've been flying is 49.5 ounces with a 3S3P (6000mah) thunder power pack, and currently an axi 2826 (was testing various inexpensive brushless outrunners and this was the one that was best so far). With a 2P 4000 pack, that would put it just under 45 ounces if my math is correct.

What is the ARF Covered in? Its not the real light weight covering is it? I hate that stuff... Its so fragile and punctures/tears easily.
