Those do fly great. all of the plastic parts are strong, and weigh a lot less than the fancy metal ones. If I had it to do over again I would go that way.

I don't want to buy a used one. I want to build one. I want to build one from beginning to end and set everything up so that I know the workings of it from one end to the other. I am flying flybarless now with Beastx so I'm kinda set on building a flybarless heli.

I'm sure the Compass models fly great, just not what I'm looking for. I'm really considering a MS Protos 500 and just getting the flybarless kit with it. Just one of the few I'm considering.

Wheeeew...I was all out of ideas. ...The Prôto's is another fine choice. I have flown a Buddy's P-500..Very light, quick, nimble, Quiet heli.

Odd that MS has not done away with the fb's yet.

Even a used clone will have had the bad parts replaced.
You may find that the previous owner paid a lot less attention to detail than you do though..

blow it apart into a kit and re-assemble it to your specifications. That is what the hobby is all about

You cant do that with an airplane- the monokote gets all crinkley

I pretty much had to strip mine down completely and clean out all the locktite, replace the gritty main blade grip bearings and completely dry tail grip thrust bearings. Main grip thrust bearings were also gummed up with dry grease and needed to be soaked in acetone overnight.
