I've been bouncing between the Slowfly forumstrying to find a good CG point.

I'm getting ready to place the rest of the electronics and I'd like to get it right the first time, for once

Mine worked out to be about 24 inch wing, do you have a good rule of thumb on the percent of MAC?

Using a CG Calc, I come up at about 2.1 inches, or 53MM using a 10% static margin.

I know CG is set different based on flying style (3D, Sport, etc) do you have a favorite for the 22 then I can compare that to the 28 and calculate it to work on the 24 inch :-)

anyone have any suggestion for alternative motor and or battery? since this is a smaller plane than the 28inch but uses the same motor and battery. Wouldn't the wing loading be a bit high as a result?

I am new to the world of electrics, foam and 3D.
Is it a characteristic of flat wings to not like speed?
When I leave high alpha flight and transition to straight and level, plane becomes unstable and wants to radically dive as it speeds up. Any ideas?
Nothing appears to be flexing or bending. Controls are tight. Motor is set at 0-0.

3D planes are funny they love to float along as you said in High Alpha drop the nose a little they can speed up and be a little zippy the trick is to match speed with elevator so it looks like the plane is flying slow and flat kinda like keeping it right above stall and moving. another trick set your plane up a tad tail heavy so it wants to fall back on the tail and with speed you keep it from doing so. (now the 22" in planes are real snappy and not a first plane to fly I love training people on the Superslo28) a big floater that will do it all.
