HET Super Sniper 90 by Electric Jet Factory
Greetings Fellow EDF'ers!
Just got in the new Super Sniper 90 from HET an boy does it look SWEET!
Since this bird is being built to be shown off, might as well start it off right with a build thread... Due to time constraints, it's going to be co-built and flown by myself and James (Lashmett75). BIG THANKS goes to Robert at Electric Jet Factory (EJF.com) and HET for supplying the kit!!! It's going to get an awesome setup for sure, but let's go over some of the basics first:
Model: Super Sniper 90
Fan: 90mm with ~1500+
Flying Weight: 5lbs-6.25lbs ...we'll try to keep this one light...
Power: Scorpion 3026-1400 on 8s Hyperion G3 packs spinning a Midi Fan.
Should give us around 1800-2000 watts
Servos: HS-82MG's all around except for Steering and Retract Valve.
Landing Gear: HET Mini CNC Airs, and RCLander Suspension Struts.
Needless to say, this one is gonna move out! Unfortunately, I can't really start the build until Sunday... Got an Armed Forces Air Show to attend tomorrow, but I'll post pics!
Anyways, here's some teaser pics to get you started!

Next up, inspection of the contents:
The box itself arrived in excellent condition!
Opened it up, and saw a very well thought out packaging scheme.
The Fuselage was wrapped in two layers of spongy-foam wrap. For those of you that have bought any of the Lander's jets, same stuff, makes for great packing material.
The fuse looks like it wants to go fast right out of the box!
The intake ducting is molded right into the airframe, and there's plenty of room in the aft fuse for your powerplant, along with a generous amount of room in the nose for whatever packs you decide to run...

The Wings and Stabs also arrived in great shape; No warps, cracks, or dings here!
I also liked the hollow fiberglass Vertical Stab... gonna make it real easy to drop in a rudder servo
Inside the white box were the Clear Canopy, Wheel well, and other miscellaneous peices and plywood that will be used in the build. Again, they arrived in good condition.
The decal sheet is also a nice touch, but I have no idea what the CD is for... I guess I'll find that out soon! (probably the manual)
That's all I've got for right now, but I'll be back soon and we'll get starting putting this bad boy together!
I'd like to make this thread a useful resource for any future owner of Sniper 90's, so let's keep this constructive and helpful okay? But of course, comments, suggestions and questions will definitely be welcome!
Enjoy your Snipers!

You`re making it real hard to keep from clicking that buy now button. LOL
Looks like there`s plenty of room for batteries. That was a concern of mine. Also it looks like the fan could be pushed back if the cg was a problem.
I still wish it was a little bigger, but HET obviously has a winner.

Got back home a little early from the Air Show... Im hoping I have enough time to clean and get SOME work done on it tonight! Worst come to worst I will definitely have made good progress on it w/ pics tomorrow!

Those Alu Fans are awesome! I'm assuming not the stock motor though... whatcha gonna drop in?? A Medusa or one of those HET 600-43's would kick butt... If you've got some serious coin I guess you could get a NEU...
