Stevens Aero LittleGee and Skybuggy 100

It is my dads birthday in a few days, so I built him one of these little kits we have been eyeing up. This is my first foray into the world of 2.4 single cell airplanes, and I am very impressed by these airplanes. The batteries I am using are 200-300mah packs from the blade mcpx... The planes carry them quite well and, on the 200 pack, I recorded a flight time of 13:50 with lots of loops and hot dogging around the park (on the littlegee). The sky buggy I built for myself and flies just like a lazy bee.

i'm 57, and both of my parents are dead, so technically I'm an Orphan.

Depending on your age, you can adopt me as a son, grandfather....long lost twin you never knew you had, as long as you promise to build me a pretty little plane like that for my birthday. (for christmas i expect something bigger)

Nice job on both planes.

Thanks Pete, the littlegee is actually brandishing the number 57 because that is in fact my dads age. I am 24, we'll see what we can do about building actually, they go together in no time at all. The littlegee took 3 hours to build, whereas the sky buggy took about 4, the hardest part which was doing that covering trim. They aren't hard, and basically lock together.

I am really tempted to sign up for the micro builder program ($125) were they send you a new kit 4 times a year.

these look great. i quite fancied a little gee before but will have it next on my list after seeing yours looking so good.

i am in the latter stages of covering my rockette. 1st time i've covered anything like this. bottom of the wing (1peice) and all the tail pieces went perfect. was really looking forward to getting it covered nicely as per the pictures i've seen.

disaster then struck, turns out the top of the wing was a nightmare but i kind of got there after using 3 separate panels to cover it. it's still not as tight as i would like but going to shrink it again later. 2 full strips of covering wasted trying first of all though. the fuselage sides are awful,i could not get the covering to pull tight/nicely around that rounded frame. so it's got ripples and folds in it. tempted to cut it off and try and redo but it took me hours to get it as good as i got it. maybe i should just put it down to my first attempt and leave as is.
any good 'how to' guides out there? SA should consider doing one as their demo planes look amazing!

SA have some great looking planes. just hope for some more scale 'like' offerings from SA, parkscale and mountain models. a couple of warbirds in this format would be amazing.

That Piper is sweet! I didn't know about it. Nice LittleGee too. From the one picture they have on the site I wasn't sure I liked it but after seeing yours, I'm impressed. Nice covering job on both planes. Is it SoLite?

Thanks guys, the covering is I think... Coverlite? Something like that. It's similar to solite. Really nice to work with.

DO IT!

The most fun $125.00 I have spent. I built the Vagabond in four days (a few hours a night after work). It flies better than the Champ and is so easy to build. I'm building the Bowers Fly Baby Bipe now. The kits are so fun to put together and they will give you a Builders Club discount on product and free shipping offers.

Flight report on the littlegee please
This plane interests me to no end, but I want to know how truly aerobatic it can be (Stevensaero pitches it as a 3 ch aerobat!)
