Converting GP Lanier Stinger II to electric help
Setting up my winter plane for good ol Iowa .. and since I love stingers .... heres my plan....
Great Planes Lanier Stinger II ARF .46-.55,49.5"
Great Planes Rimfire .46 42-60-800 Outrunner Brushless
Great Planes Silver Series 60A Brushless ESC High Volt
Xoar 13x8 PJA Series Beechwood Propeller
Turnigy Nano Tech 6s 5k Lipo (have it laying around extra)

In the Rimfire series and assuming 6S, you'd be much better off with the Rimfire .80, Kv = 500 which is spot on for 13 and 14" props on 6S. Don't be misled by the .80 label - it's only 1oz heavier than the ".46", which will actually be a good thing as it will run cooler and likley balance better anyway in a model originally designed for a heavier glow engine
I can't compare with the Rimfire as I don't own one, but the OS 5020-490 is an outstanding motor for 6S and props that size. Handles around 1000W without breaking a sweat and runs extra smooth.
