it looks the same physical size motor, only pinion (gear) is different size.
So you would need a pinion puller to change it over.

I would not use a non standard motor in a quad, it is critical that the motors are matched and right for the boards programming. It won't fly right if it's the wrong motor. Aren't motors stocked? I thought full parts were available.

I am also awaiting the 939, guys you just have to wait, stuff takes time, there are all kinds of issues to iron out with product production. Waiting for the 20th? Come on, it might be Christmas, plus, they might be out of stock when you order. Just order it now and forget about it. I think that's what I am going to do.

as its made by WL , I would presume its the same motor, just different gearing.
certainly looks like it.
I had a look this morning, whilst doing some repairs to my 911, and thought the same.

I have also had to replace two carbon booms on the beetle.
I used solid carbon rods and glued them with hot glue, no twist anymore
for reference they are 90mm long

Many of you are talking about the 808 #16 camera. I understand 808 as a famous key chain camera but what does "#16" mean? Is this a version or something else. Could one of you explain me the differences?

Each number is a different version with a different developer. Each trying to out do each other. Physically, they basically look the same.

I believe the #16 and #18 are the two competition versions right now. Someone summarized it pretty clearly previously on one of these v929 Beetle thread. I can't seem to find it right now.

Hello guys,
I've been following the thread for a while, and I've finally pulled the trigger on a BNF from BangGood at $32.99, I also got 5 of the Tiger lipos at $10.99. With free shipping I can't believe how cheap these things are. So now the wait begins , but hopefully I'll be binding my new V929 to my 9x, and having some fun like all you guys.

I think the BNF from FireCabbage looks better...because it comes with spare blades, battery and charger. Basically everything from the RTF kit except for the TX.

Does anyone know if they send out the appropriate charger for you region? The charger in the photo looks like it's the Euro style pin type.

Yes you're right, I thought that too when I first saw it, but shipping to Spain takes it to $42.00, and I got a set of 4 spare blades from RC711.com for $3.20 incl shipping. So I'm all in at $36.00 and I'll use my B6 charger.

It might have been me. If not, then it's unclearly explained here and a few posts down from that. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...7#post22271863

Edit: Oops, too slow. Yes http://www.chucklohr.com/808/ covers everything very clearly, but it's a much longer read...

Tried some mqx blades yesterday and as some have mentioned, their performance is that same as the v929 blades. I do like using orange and white instead of red and black though. Also, they're cheap and I can get them at my LHS, or in a couple of days via Ebay.
