Very good unit, OSD is not much of an OSD to be honest (very basic) but it tracks awesome with you AAT.

The OSD currently has diversity signal, on the old telefly OSD's they had signal on the audio, older Teleflypro OSD's had signal on video, latest Teleflypro OSD has signal on audio and video

If you get the full package, take a little time at the start to replace the servos and put a bearing on the tilt axis and replace the plastic bearing for a metal or ceramic one on the pan axis on the AAT, they are pretty weak and plastic geared so changing them out will save you a headache later on (unless you just plan to use light antennas like 5.8ghz).

I love the basic features of this osd.
Great for quads.

Lets me actally see stuff!
Current sensor is actually pretty accurate too.

Tho the rssi could be alot better buffered......

Audio is no longer used since start of this yr in firmware update 5.1 Not even the auto pilot uses audio anymore for tracking.

Its just an option now for older telefly osd back on v4 days to be compatible.

Got it covered mate!
I built a modded myfly dream tracker.
I have a 36kg servo on tilt ha ha.

Id agree with the bearing inside.
Ceramic is a must.

Metal one will produces lines in video.
( dont ask me how I know) :-)

Also the newer version have better servos now and a tilt spring to help out with antenna loading.

Id agree tho. Depending on fpv antenna used an upgrade is needed. But for quads this tracker is the best! With a light antenna.
Unlimited pan is fantastic on quads.

You can buy spares ($1.99) and mount them in different aircraft and just change the camera board across.

The Runcam is not quite the same.... note it has two connectors, whilst the HS1177 just has one. But they both use the same OSD cable control thing.
The Runcam MIGHT fit into the same case.

eg This plane has a fixed camera 'pod' and a panning camera 'pod', so you shift the camera board from case to case (the fixed camera is epoxied to the pod base - the panning camera is epoxied to the servo arm/mount)
....
OK, my days of swapping cams between planes are behind me now, I'm to lazy and have built up enough gear over time. I'll probably be installing cam on Bix 3 this weekend, will be interested to see how it's picture compares to the pz0420 .

Cheers,
Gim

Here is a APM2.7 system test for a new Bix 3, checking stall speeds, minimosd setup, flight characteristics with full FPV load onboard. She is a docile bird to say the least, and the flight times are significantly reduced compared to a Bix 2 with the same gear. That said, I handed it over to a complete novice (you can see him ducking out of the way just before 11 minutes) for some FPV flight, and as you can see form the results, she is certainly easy for even beginners to handle with the stability turned on.

Bix 3 FPV flight 29 Sep 14 (16 min 45 sec)
