PIca Waco 1/6 Scale

Here's my Pica Waco YMF3 in the bones. I really hate to take it apart to add the radio gear. Span about 60"; weight in the bones 6lb,2oz with Saito hunnert, wheels, etc.

I think I'll just sand on it with fine paper for a while so I can appreciate it before covering.

How can you savor the build when building so fast? Hard to believe you're already at this stage. I've been sucking the marrow from the Cub's bones for months.

It's a curse. I am stuck at this stage a while though, because I can't bear to take it apart.

This should be good for 3 or 4 airplanes. We buy one of these every 2 months or so...

A totally bashed Tiger 60 with a DLE 22 cc engine, looks good in naked wood, should look better when when I get it dressed. Haven't found the right clothes and color yet.

123" Horton 229 4 months and 14 days from Paper to first flight.. oh, the entire center section was molded for a composite center section as well:

1/7 F-14D Tomcat. all scratch built. 4 year long project and counting.

26.5% GeeBee R-2.. essentially my own design, since i only used the firewall template and the paper from the Hostetler plans..

Nice Horten. Looks like you used drag brakes to provide yaw control. The 229 has long been one of my favorites.

Got more info on that?
