I happened to have a replacement arm that has a hex shaped collar inside the plastic arm and I still added the longer 3mm screw for good measure. I also found that the top end of the wheel wire was moving a 1/4" forward and back causing the wheel alignment itself to offset. So I firmed that up with some plywood and drilled a hole to accept and hold the top of the wire in place.

My advice... don't use the stock arm. Replace it.

As far as torque from the motor, I'm sure there is some and I will know more how the plane acts from it with more flights.
Looks like a good fix.
I just keep nursing mine....Mainly cause I'm too lazy!

Thanks Gav. I'm hoping my fix will hold up good. Unfortunately I wont be flying it soon to know. The rainy season has started here and the weatherman says its going to continue for a few days. Its even stalled my plans to airbrush some details on her due to the humidity. Its ok... I'm in California. It cant rain forever.

Your rain moved over to Az, we're getting it now. But we could use a little so I won't complain.

Finally got the details done. For now... I'll add more later. Exhaust, antenna, guns, checkered the tail and clear coated the decals.

Maybe Santa will bring me a 4 blade prop.

Thank you Gav. I downloaded a bunch of pics of the real Excalibur to try and get as much detail as possible but the owner of the real one keeps his pretty clean so there wasn't much wear and tear to detail. Still had fun.
