Besides the great workmanship and awesome looks I was wondering if there is any provision for a neckstrap or harness or something?
I'd think keeping the radio and the (what must be quite a) heavy mitt in your hands all the time is not so comforting. (unless you normally fly without a neckstrap of course...)

A Trans Mitt with cuffs weighs 390g = 13.8 Oz., they are not heavy at all.

As well there are two Velcro straps on the inside of the back panel which hold the transmitter to the back of the bag. The top panel has 1/4" head liner foam sandwiched between the outer shell and the inner fleece. This keeps the front proud of the back and so the bag will not flop onto the Tx. It's a transmitter gymnasium.

There is a grommet and lanyard included with the Trans Mitt if requested. With the Tx in the bag, the entire bottom opens, you monkey around with it until you are satisfied with it's position in the bag, then you cut a half inch hole in the window. The grommet has two halves as per the attached picture. The grommet is bopped with a hammer to snap it together. The carabiner is removed from the strap. The strap is then passed thru the grommet and the carabiner is reattached to the strap. The carabiner is attached to the Tx and your neck strap is attached the key ring and Bobs your uncle.

Watch this video and you can see how well it works. I am able to pick up up my 120 size Cap 232 with no problem, in fact it's easier then without a neck strap. I have always used a neck strap...goes way back to when I raced RC sailboats in the 90's.

So you could say I stayed up over night thinking about it and after all, this is a thinking mans game

Hope this answers your questions.

Jay your Trans Mitt will be there on Monday. I tried to get the Blue Angles to deliver it with a fly by and throw it out the window but they gave me some mumbo jumbo about the FAA coming by so I hung up and drove it to the PO...they contemplated throwing it out of the window of the mail truck truck but then thought better of it...something about surveillance cameras...i don't know.

Here it is and thanks!

I've wanted to make either a leather Trans Mitt or suede so I made a nice suede one for myself. I kept the graphics to a minimum because it's just SO nice!

If anybody wants one, hit me up.

Excellant product

For anyone even thinking about buying one of these, do yourself a favor and buy one. Mine just arrived, custom designed, everything just the way I wanted and looks perfect. Can't wait to try it out, but I am sure it will work well. Thanks, Rick for such a nice product.

Glad you like it and thanks for the perk. Now get that thing outside where it can really do you justice.

My New Trans Mitt 😃👍👍

I just received the Trans Mitt hand warmer today from reacher10. Just looking at it after I opened the box, I could tell it's going to be much warmer than the one I had prior. Rick did an excellent job on the mitt!!! Very well constructed with all the options and colors I requested and also with the graphics I asked for. Thank you again Rick!!! Looking forward to using it very soon even though it's unseasonably warm for us in MN.

HI. I just discovered your product, now that spring is on its way. I have been looking for a Tx glove/mitt all winter with no luck. It seems you are still making them. Can you pm me some specifics and prices? I barely flew at all this winter because even on a nice day(no such thing in winter) my old carpenters fingers just get too cold. If it matters I use a Spec. Dx7G2 and would want the blue grommet piece to attach a neck strap.
