New Product
Max Jet F-18 from Nitroplanes

Anyone seen this yet? www.nitroplanes.com/93a18-f18-grey-kit.html At $59 bucks I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to stick a Don's wicked motor in it and see how she does.

EDIT: THIS THREAD HAS TWO JETS MIXED IN, THE AIRFIELD F-18 REGULAR HORNET, AND THE MAXJET F-18 SUPERHORNET. THIS WAS A MIXUP ON MY PART. THE LATEST PARTS OF THE THREAD WILL MOSTLY BE ABOUT THE MAXJET F-18 (AS THEY SHOULD BE), WHILE THE EARLIER THREE OR SO PAGES HAVE THE AIRFIELD F-18 MIXED IN WITH THEM. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION

HERE IS THE LINK TO THE AIRFIELD THREAD:

Yeah, Nitro is really expanding their EDF line and bare airframe kits in particular. That Maxjet label is very inexpensive too; they also have the 64mm F-117's and F-35's for only $49.95:

At those prices I was tempted to get all three, but I'm going to test the waters with the F-18 first. The F-35 will probably get more speed due to the single exhaust versus the F-18's bifuricated exhaust, but I like the looks of the F-18 better.

I need it to fit a 3s 2100mah pack. I'll find a way to make it work. Pics from all angles will follow as soon as I get my hands on it. This may just be a revamped version of the art tech f-18. Maybe someone else already has one and can post pics.

Nice! I was pretty torn between the Grey bird and the Blue Angels scheme. If the grey one flies well, I'll likely get the Blue Angel as a back up.

Agreed, hopefully it will be easy to remove the weapons. If not, most people probably won't know the difference

Mine will be here on the 19th according to my shipping notification. Unfortunately, I'm on the other side of the country on business until the third of March, but I will have my better half take some pictures as soon as the jet shows up.

I'm trying to hold off for the next airframe they have coming in

Airfield brand website shows two other EDFs in 64mm on their site, one is a f15 like the freewing model, the other is a f5e like the old exceed one.

I'd like to see a 64mm F-22, F-9F, and A-4 with properly sized inlets.
