With camera 1090 grams. Electronics, pan axis and isolation mount to be added.

Are you using brushless motors opposed to servos?

Photohigher has a couple designs on their site with a brushless motor-based gimbal opposed to servos.

Actually I did have my first lesson on a lathe today and I made the end cap on the top tube and one of the bar couplers. I'm hooked, that machining is very therapeutic.
