Looks like FMS is coming out with 800 V2 versions in response to the new Airfield 800 releases.

The FMS V2 versions are improved versions of their existing models with new 4-blade props, drop tanks/rockets as appropriate and more landing gear details to match the new Airfield releases. I like flying "clean" for less drag and better performance, but the extra details really look good for static display or just low altitude scale-like flying around.

FMS V2 800 series airframes look the same as their V1. Their V1 Skyraider and P47 (Tempest, F6F, FW190 and BF109, too) had and still have 750mm wingspans, but were bunched together in the same "800 series" as the full 800mm wingspan models like the P51, P40, Spitfire, Corsair, AT6, T28.

Very nice models from FMS anbd Airfield but the new Nitro/Airfield models look more detailed to me. Let's see how they fly.

The FMS are proven performers with quality builds, but if the Airfield 800 series fly as well, FMS will have a good fight for 800 flyers' money.

IMO, the big warbirds like the 1400+mm class are pretty in the air, but these 800 class birds are the best bang for my buck. You can easily bring four/five of them, fully assembled in your car for a full day of flying.

I'm with easyrider64, 800mm models are just as cool and modding them is easy, even though I own some big stuff none of them are necessarily more fun than the mid-size birds.

Damn, PWRC are selling their FW190 750mm on special for about $70.

Would be great if i lived in USA but NITRO shipping to Australia is prohibitive, (BH too), thats why I have never purchased from them, that FW190 would come from HK to Oz for $20.
