Normally i come out of a stationary flip or fast loop a little crooked, and i thought i was just messing up giving a little unwanted stick movements. I dont have EXPO on my Tx, so any error in control wil be shown in flight. My flips and loops look much cleaner with the GA-250, but more noticeable to me i feel much more confident flying in the confined space now. I just kicked it around not worrying coming out a loop wrong and smashing into a house again.

One problem i found is after a left piro it over compensates to stop the taiol and it wags once or twice, and that doesnt go away with very low gain.


I will play around with the servo horn position to see if i can get it better.

hey sp00fman, it's interesting that your heli piros much faster the hard way than the easy way. how'd you manage that?

1 got dispatched end of last week and that will be going on my CopterX 250 that I am building. the other 2 were dispatched today and will be going on my 2 450's. I backordered all of mine and didnt have to wait longer than a week for them to be dispatched so i'm very happy.

Looking forward to testing

That is the only thing that irritates me about crashing, I only have ONE on video and it is, frankly un exemplary!

Im in for one to throw on my belt CP beater heli.

I ordered the Corona DS919MG as its digital, fast and can run 6v. But, after going thru the manual for the Assan gyro, i cant find the operation speed details anywhere. Any ideas on a "best guess" on the us/Hz values?

I don't think corona digital servos can run at a high frame rate (hz).

your only options are 1520/250 or 1520/333. try 250 first. hopefully the servo won't go up in smoke.

Great, Ill try that. Now, as for 333Hz, that leaves two options per the manual: 1520us and 960us. Should i go with the larger one, as it has more servos listed under (thinking its the more common type)?

I think you are confusing these two numbers. there are two parameters that define servo operation: pulse width (ms) and frame rate (hz).

for the ga250 gyro, the pulse width choices are 1520 ms (the standard pulse width), 960 ms and 760 ms. the frame rate choices are 250, 333 or 560 hz.

analog servos operate at 1520 ms/50 hz. the corona digital servos use a 1520 pulse width, but I'm not sure about the frame rate. I was pretty sure they only worked at 50 hz.

therefore your only options are either 1520/250 or 1520/333. 1520/250 is the safer choice. if they do only operate at 50 hz, prolonged operation at 250 or 333 hz cause them to burn up.

Thanks. Strange that i cant track this spec down, this one isnt even listed on servodatabase. Get what you pay for sometimes, I suppose.

I know. I have corona 929's on my 450 pro cyclic, and I could never find the spec. Therefore I suspect they are only 50 hz. If they were faster, I'm pretty sure they would advertise that fact.
