X5 or Zephyr II for next platform
Right now I have a SkySurfer, and would really like to try a wing for FPV. I have tuned my Surfer to fly well, but it is starting to show some wear and tear. I have a 2212-06 2200kv motor with 6x4 on it, and it struggles with the GoPro in the wind. Also, if it get it up and over ~50mph in a dive, it starts to act squirrelly.
I am looking at two different wing kits right now-- the Zephyr II and the X5. I do not believe that either is made to be taking apart (remove the wings for storage and transportation) but I would want to be able to easily modify my plane to do so.
I have just the basic FPV setup-- nothing too fancy or heavy. OSD, Tx, Camera. I want to be able to carry my GoPro and not have the plane struggle.
So what do you all think--? I am a experienced pilot and looking for a fun plane to fly FPV with. Can people who own either of the planes comment on their performance?
