Help me find a good yoke

I need help in locating a yoke/spinner combo where the yoke clamps onto the motor shaft with set screws. I want to stay away from a collet type application. I see Shredair has what I need but only stock items for 6mm shafts. Mine is a 4mm shaft. I also need a 42-43mm spinner. Can anyone help me?

I know this does not help answer your question, but why not a collet or a grub screw fixing?

The most versatile system is the HM (Helmut Meyer, not Norbert) system, which is what you seem to be looking for. Don't know about the US, but you can get them here:

yoke-spinner

Aircraft-World also has the RFM spinners for 4mm shafts. That is what I use on the Hacker B40G motor.

I know he wants this for a maxon 4.4x1 gearbox mated to an aveox motor for his ION... I think the norbert meyer system is great but apparantly not available in 4mm... I am not fond of the lite spinner/setscrew type yokes ala for the bandit even when filing a flat onto the output shaft.. spinner size is 44mm.. I know a 45mm is a tad large for the ION..

Since 1st using collet type I much prefer it over the set screw or grub screw.

Think about it this way. Any power application is all concentrated in one or two small points at the tip of each screw. A collet has far more contact surface area to transfer the power from the motor to the prop.

well on shredair's website it clearly says "Norbert Meyer spinner system" and Lann e-mailed Dieter and Dieter told him they were only available in 6mm.. Yes, I DID read your post. maybe there are two competing Meyers? or they are feuding brothers?.. Either way, I think it's now a moot point as the ION is no longer. ( not my story to tell ).
