yeah, no worries, ill post pics for sure. im trying to figure out if its going to fit hanging up in my garage lol.
i should be around 5kw per fan, making 10kw total, about 26lbs of thrust, and 260-270mph eflux. so, it wont have staggering vertical, but it should be pretty fast. pretty much fly just like the real one lol. ahh....i think youll be suprized how slow it will be able to land. Andy hasnt explored heavy flap angles yet, nor has he attemped nose high power on landings. the biggest problem will come if we get east winds in vegas, coming over the brush is going to suck for landings. its going to take a agressive takeoff as well i think. |

Yeah was thinking about that. Also for a right to left takeoff in Vegas I will use full flaps and start the take off from the very begining of the runway. Like you say it may require a more aggressive climb angle to clear the trees.
Did a google maps plot and the east trees are 190 feet from the runway threashold. Runway looks like 750 feet long. |

So at the end of the day you guys are gonna be about the same weight now, right? What about watts per pound and thrust?

well, i "should" be around 38lbs. andy is around 43-44 lbs right now.
im going to be around 10kw and some change. i hope thats going to be enough. its roughly the same watts per pound as my JHH sabre, and it was a bat out of hell, but this is a differnt ball game....the you get less thrust for watts the higher up you go in watts....i figure ill have about 25-26 lbs of thrust, with a 38 lbs weight. thats not too great. my sabre had about 9-10 lbs of thrust for 13lbs auw |

That's Bernie's B-52 isn't it? Not sure if he built two or someone else did one too.
Those B-52s might be challenged by that runway at the AITH event. Nut, Did you notice your AUW is increasing by at least a pound every time you post??? ![]() ![]() ![]() J |
