Funtana-125 69" Build - Fly - Video
Preface: i want a large carden or 3dhs plane. It's not happening this summer so lets get that out of the way.
I needed a light plane with a budget in mind
plane out the door(LHS) - $299
This looks like a remake of the popular x100 with the addition of an airfoil on the tail surfaces and another take on electric power options.
Recommended electric setup (per Horizon)
8s & 400kv motor
Additionally, the intended elevator setup will utilize 2-hs225mg, and upon further inspection this could be modified to save weight and money.
The airframe could arrive after 7/20 and if there is any interest, i will post the 2 intended setups.

I stumbled out of the LHS and came to find out the price is 298.xx with tax . I'm not going to argue with that.
In order to keep the ball rolling, I'll start mentioning - for no real reason, my parts list.
- apc 17/10
- apc 18/10
- turnigy programming card
- 6 24" hobbico extentions
- dubro Futaba heavy duty arms
- dubro Hitec/JR heavy duty arms (i need them both unfortunately - $21)
I have some more boxes to open..
I also emailed horizon(hanger 9) tech dept, we shall see if they answer a few Q's.

Deadline - August now...
Coolboarder / all,
Like you, I've given up on getting anything big/bigger for this summer. Hopefully the Funtana will arrive early August! My call to Horizon just left me wondering if August really will be the shipdate. The rep just kept telling me to "check the website for updates".
I have a Power 110 and CC 85HV esc just waiting to go in this beast.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Horizons website uses a wierd calculator for delivery dates. Your best bet is to get ahold of some of the hanger 9 reps that are around here. I have been impatiently and patiently waiting on the new 60 sized mustang since may.

Here is today's box brought to you by 3dhs
- Extreme Flight 63mm spinner
- 2 Hitec 225's
- Testors gloss red

This sure looks like a great model. I think when the funtana's first came out they set a bench mark for the best flying airplanes around in its size. I sure hope this one can do the same.

I was speculating the 18/10 would be good, but i have a 17/10, 18/8 also.
The recommendation is 16-17/10 on 295kv at 8s.
I would not rule out using a larger cell count, but i think 6s would be sufficient(and more convenient & economical). In addition, other planes in this size have recommendations on 400kv motors at 6s @18" area.
