I just picked up a squadron of slopers from a local guy, all of which have positive shift/JR gear. I don't want to swap all receivers, and would rather just pick up a used JR or other positive shift radio. It doesn't need to be state of the art, but it needs to handle full house/crow without fiddling.

Any recommendations for a model # that won't break the bank?

I'd look for a used 8103. I saw a used 9303 go for only $100.00 recently (used JR radios DID perform better than my 401K, though).

JR or Airtronics both postive shift probably an old JR X347 would do the trick got most thing for glider settings of course you"ll have to find 1 or just get a use JR 9X

The Hitec Eclipse 7 can be programmed for both pos. and neg. shift.

The interface isn't the most user friendly, but it's a capable radio and can be picked up used for a good price. If you get one with the Spectra module you can dial in any frequency.

I've got a couple of Hitec Optic 6's that are shift selectable, PM for details if you're interested.

Thanks Glen. Used to have one and sold it because it couldn't/wouldn't easily handle crow. I think there are some work-arounds but as I recall they impaired the functionality.

You can definitely do crow but you might not be able to get differential flaps without using manual mixes. You're welcome to give it a try if you want.
