Blimey we are off to a flying start, its only the 3rd of March and we have a bunch of cracking Bridges and Dams theme pictures already. Here's hoping the weather in the UK co-operates this month for a change?

been so cold....

nothing here taken this year..... but Amelia Earhart Locks outside of Boston shot a while ago. The Amelia Earhart Dam, an earth-filled dam with 3 locks, crosses the Mystic River about 1.6 miles above the mouth. The largest lock, a commercial-vessel type, has a length of 325 feet, a width of 45 feet, and depths of 15 feet over the lower sill and 11 feet over the upper sill. Two smaller parallel locks just westward have lengths of 120 feet, widths of 22 feet, and depths of 6 feet over the lower sills and foot over the upper sills. - See more at: http://ma.usharbors.com/harbor-guide....jmOm6zWi.dpuf

Draw bridge being widened...

Also the Cape Cod RR bridge that only lowers when I am not there, except this time.

The more I look the more bridge AP I find in my archives....

Hope to get out this month.....

Well my contribution will have to wait. I was in Victoria, BC, earlier this week. LOTS of bridges to mess with. LOTS of water. And the morning of day one I woke up with an arm that wouldn't bend at the elbow. Turns out I'd been nursing a massive infection and didn't know it until the swelling immobilized my arm. I didn't even get out to do ground photography.

And now I'm leaving on another trip that won't let me get out to do any AP. I should be back by the middle of the month. Just one good session would leave me with a smile!

Keep the great bridge and dam AP coming. I'm living and flying vicariously through you guys!

Hi Tom.

So sorry to hear about your arm and infection, hope things improve for you!
It's still early in the month so you should get time for this topic.

Keep well.

Fantastic pics all, loving these. Never seem to get out for ap at the moment, not that the weather's played ball really.

Cheers all!
