AEO Problem
I ordered and received the AEO ADF30-100 PLUS 8000KV. In testing, I cannot get it to run beyond a very low throttle setting.
I have tried ESCs at 12A, 18A and 25A with the same result. I have tried 3-3 cell battery packs at 1500, 2100, and 2600 (all 25-25+C)mAh capacity, all with the same result. The result is that the unit will start, but with advancing throttle, it cuts off. The current when this happens varies between about 3A and 7A, but if it peaks higher, I can't tell. Do I need a special hi-freq ESC for this? Is my result a hardware fault or operator error? |

You will need an ESC that will handle a higher rpm outrunner, not all escs will do that. Hobbywing and turnigy plush are two that will work. Program the ESC for low timing and you should be OK.

Not personally seen a hobbywing on HK site for some time.
Did discover that an esc with an "atmel' chip seems to deal with high outrunner rpms though. Plush...ones in red heat shrink..did ! Clear shrink versions currently use a silab(?) chip . No idea if it's better or worse at this, although some claim it a degrade.. but that's just words until proven.. Not all that easy to deduce from brochure babble which esc's actually currently use a capable chip though. Mystery / HK blue series still do (did?) Dunno if that helps in selecting ? |

HobbyPartz carries the Hobbywing esc's....i have ordered 3 from them. work perfect. even the Turnigy program card i have works on them
