Shen Qi Wei Allegro, 1/20th scale (Under construction)
Here is a 1/20th scale RC model so called "Allegro" from Shen Qi Weil manufacturer. For less than 20 USD including shipping, you can have a first RTR RC moto working at 2.4G frequency band.
+ 1 x Shen Qi Wei Allegro (with a 1S 120mAh LiPo ending with 2.25 2 pins connector )
+ 1 x Transmitter (using 2xAA batteries not included)
+ 1 x USB charging cable
+ 1 x Instruction manual (English/Chinese)
+ 1 x Screwdriver
- Front view
- Rear view
Both front and rear parts have shock absorbers
The moto without the LiPo weights 88.8g
and 92.5g with
The power switch is located beneath the saddle
On side screw to remove to access to the battery bay
The battery bay can probably welcome a longer LiPo up to 200mAh
a 120mAh 1S LiPo ending with a 2.25mm 2 pins connector
- Instruction manual
The main FC
A mini 6mmx12mm coreless motor is associated with the steering system
The main motor is a coreless 8.5mmx20mm
A basic 2.4G radio. The wheels don't provide a proportional steering: two buttons are pressed internal when your turn the wheel
2 speed modes can be selected as well as the throttle trimming via two pots.
The radio can be turned for left or right handling
The moto is very fun when used on a relatively flat surface without too much granularity. Top speed can reach close to 20km/h and recover well sttandalone from sequence of saltos/crashes thanks to the inertia. The steering radius is not fantastic and you will need at least 8-9m to perform a full tour at full speed limiting usage into small flat. The control range was not fantastic, around 25-30m. I gess by installating the moto antenna differently, the control range can be improved. The playing duration was approximatvely of 5min with the shipped LiPo.
For 20USD including shipping, you can't be wrong with this model if you want to try a first RC moto or plan to offerit as gift for a kid.
This model requiers a flat surface and a relatively large space so no ideal for small flat but more for large living-room or in outdoors conditions.
+ Fun to pilot
+ Fast (~ 20Km/h)
+ Cheap RTR package
- No proportional steering
- Steering radius around 4m
- Radio control around 30m
