IF you want an FW190 now in the 11-1200mm size the ST model (also sold under other brands) is a fine plane, If not you have a T-28 that looks great.

How come the T-28 does not come with a pilot or two?

My thoughts exactly.

Why would they go to the trouble to make such a great looking plane and not include at least one scale pilot figure That would add what, $1 to their costs? C'mon H/King, go the extra bit and make these 1100mm Durafly models all they can be!

Exactly. I prefer to install my own pilot. The pilots that normally show up with this size model are highly unrealistic at best.

Just received notice that my Durafly T-28 has been shipped.

Holy cow, it just got here. I guess they had a state-side warehouse.

My T-28 got here, but the two battery packs I ordered did not. I think they are still coming via slow-boat from China. They aren't packing them with the airplane kits anymore.

The kit looks like it should go together fast. The instructions are useless, so it'll have to be assembled by intuition, but it doesn't look to be too difficult. Looks like you need at least 7 channels to accommodate the flaps, retracts, and lights. They sure pack a lot of gadgets in these little foamies nowadays.

If you have a 6 channel receiver the lights are shared with the Gear channel via a Y-lead supplied.

Could you measure the prop please?

Mine arrived this afternoon, but I had to go out to mow our grass runway so I didn't have time to give the kit a good going-over beforehand. A couple of points which were obvious in the quick look I took were ...

Correct, squeeker - the instructions spend several pages dealing with safety and pre-flight issues (which, we know is important of course) but there's absolutely no information included which deals with wiring to the receiver.

The assembly manual doesn't discuss fitting the linkages between servos and control horns and although someone with experience will work it out, it's probably going to cause some consternation for a complete newb.

Overall, the build quality looks as good as has been reported - very slick surface finish and detailing, general assembly and parts look good. The motor is a "GC 3536 - 850 kV" which sounds about right, but I've not yet put the prop on and fired it up with the Wattmeter included.

Looks good ... more details to follow as I get time tomorrow to put it all together and run it up with a few tests.
