Update from Singapore.

My boats arrived unharmed except for my footy. The mast was bent and the hatch cover looks like someone stepped on it crush the ?$it out of it.

I will rig my Nirvana and try to take her out his weekend.

I took the plung and stepped up and purchased a used IOM from a local club member. I am in the process of sanding the hull for a fresh coat of paint and a new look. She is very sea worthy and I am looking forward to getting her on the water. The local guys sail every weekend so I should get plenty of time on the water.

She came with an RMG winch and a good rig and sails. I need to buy a battery pack and replace a couple of hull parts but nothing major. I will place an order with Sailsetc for the parts and get them epoxied in and sanded smooth.

Will post some photos of my progress soon.

I love seeing the fall photos of all the boats. It is a constant 90 degrees over here so no chance fall colors.

Very nice video! Looks like Tri-city park - It is nice to see the lake being used for sailing. When I lived in Brea, I don't ever remember seeing any sailing going on there.

Be interested in seeing how you mounted the "key chain" camera. I have one I got from Hobby King some time ago, but haven't gotten around to trying the darn thing. The video quality is really surprising!

Minizoom, that video quality is amazing, sharp as a tack.

I too would be interested in your camera details, I'd like to try that.

Captain Crash has taken some very good videos too, and I'm thinking of taking the plunge.

I made a small plastic bracket to get it up off the deck a bit but still low enough to see under the booms - camera is mounted with Velcro (hook and loop) - works great, has a security chain as well

Nice video...I always love the onboard stuff. David that's too bad about the Footy...at least you still have something to sail though.

I didn't get in any boating this weekend, but did get in some fishing and playing with the Bronco...oh and blew the hell outa a floating stick snake with the sawed off pump 12 gauge...man that 00 buck, magnum express round, kicks some serious booty...

I just love the videos taken by onboard cameras. They give you a sense of what sailing is all about.

I used a piece of foam and cut it square and used double sided foam tape. Simple and quick!

There's actually a quite a few people that sail at Tri-city park now. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday is when people show up. More on Sat though.

Almost forgot to mention the make and model: 808 #16 I bought it from this ebay seller "eletoponline365" There's a long thread in rcgroups somewhere.

The quality is pretty good for $38.99. My gopro hd2 is better but that cost $245.
