Biplanes over Ithaca

September 28, 2013, 10 am - 5 pm at the IRCS field. Any plane with two or more wings is welcome. We charge no "landing fee"; if you put fuel in your car and come to our field you will be our guest. Here's our flier and a couple of photos of bipes getting prepared for the event. We expect somewhere around a dozen of our club's bipes there. We're excited to see what others will bring!

Open PDF below for flier and/or visit our website: http://ithaca-rc.org

This was a great event, IRCS put on a class-A event with stunning attendance!

I pulled up at about 3:30pm and wasn't sure I'd even get a slot to fly.

My crungy Fokker D-VII (that dirty Fokker) got in the air a few times, and I got to see the planes above and a bunch others in action.

Great work, guys!

We had 7 clubs and about 35 biplanes. The big ones put on a great show in the morning and then the rest of us ventured out a bit later. Lots of spectators who broke into applause every time someone landed. Our club loved it and voted to do it again next year. I'll get photos up later.
