Are spare blades/rotors available anywhere for the CS10?

Calling all EDF experts, I need some assistance I am pretty much a complete noob when it comes to EDF setups and I need to decide on a configuration for an A-10 with an AUW of approx 6lbs (plus or minus, depending on the input received here of course). Here is the kit I need to power: http://www.nitroplanes.com/projet-004-a10-kit.html

I have been reading much of this thread and I would like to get the great sound provided by the CS10 units if they are a good match for my plane. I already have some 4S-3300 35C packs which I would prefer to re-use if possible. Would a couple of HET 2W-25 motors driving the CS10 fans be a good match for the A-10? If so, what kind of ESC would you recommend? Could I run two of my 3300 packs in parallel or would that get way too heavy?

I'd really appreciate your input as getting this wrong would be expensive! Btw, I would have a preference for speed vs thrust on this ship, but obviously it will need a decent amount of thrust to fly well. Thanks for the help!

cheater holes: not always good for "woosh"

My Multiplex Twister was a bit too quiet with a low-power CS70. Cut some cheater openings in the EDF hatch, and it makes more noise now, but not much woosh gained, rather you get to hear the motor whine more through the openings.
But it's still a change for the better, and I think the performance is slightly better because the fan is getting more air. Mind you, that is only a <400W setup...

Twister MPX looping 1 dec 2012 (3 min 1 sec)

cheers

mopetista. My 2 CS setups have always not had the whoosh sound that I wanted. I watched all the youtube vids before I got my first one, and mine sounded nowhere near as good as the ones I saw, with several different airplanes. Anyways, had just got a watt meter like a week ago. Ran up my watt meter on a 4s batt and was getting 780 watts. I hooked up a 5s batt (just ran it for a sec as it way overspecced my motor). The sound with that 5s on was incredible. 1400watts. I think the RPM/ Watts effects the sound to some extend as with 5s it was MUCH better than the 4s I have been running.

Many small cheaters do the trick

@ sikky: thx! Setup is just the Turnigy L-2855 2800kV which is usually run on 4s, here only on a 2200mA 3s 35C Nanotech, some 37A on full battery, translating into 3.5 min WOT.
The Twister is kept very light, that's why it climbs nicely.

@ stingeragents: I am sure you are right, with more power, maybe already with 700W, there would be much more woosh. But there ARE some airframes like the HK Vampire which produce the woosh out of the turbulent air, and NOT the power (and thererfore speed of the air getting in and out). It would be nice to get the Vampire sound in other airframes as well. Might be those small numerous cheaters. Got a Freewing 64mm Panther which sounds awesome due to many thin cheater strips (and a 7-blade fan which does not howl). In this video you also see good examples of "control surface blanketing" on a Panther at high alpha when the horizontal stab is ineffective because the wing blocks all airflow...

F9F Panther 64mm 7-blade stall crash tree & high alpha starts (2 min 20 sec)

Surely you know lots of Vampire videos and the great sound of that airframe...
So in search of good sound at low Watts, cheater strips may work
cheers

^Thanks scunna. Seemed a little slow but that's a useful comparison for other potential powertrains.

All out speed is dictated by the airframe in many cases.
Scunna is running the BL-32s on the A-10 on 5S. On 6S it would be much faster.

The Dynam ME-262 is surprisingly fast for example.

I run mine with the low-cost Turnigy L2855-2300kv motors on a 5S 4400mah 65-130C nano-tech. Lower C batteries result in less speed.

RC Speedo showed a 112mph for a couple of passes.
Not much whoosh due to the clean airflow around the nacelles.

still a pretty nice sound (I think), and great speed!
curious how the Freewing 262 will compare to the Dynam...

cheers
