Mounting Hacker 9L motor

The hacker 9L comes with two different mounts. One is fiberglass, and is used to tape the motor onto foam planes, such as depron. (yellow in the photo)

It also comes with a alum. mount that has four screw lugs that can be used to bolt the motor to a firewall, such as seen in your photo.

A small hole will need to be drilled into the plywood to allow the motor shaft to pass thru, although it is probably already there for the eflight 250 motor.

I've attached a photo from the Hacker website, but its small and not easy to see, although you can see the metal mount (black) in the photo.

you might have to use some additional ply or washers to get the correct spacing for the plane cowl.

The prop adapter fits on the shaft not the backside. Am I able to flip the shaft so it sticks out the rear??

Here is what I'm talking about.

Well, not sure if this is the right, but after contacting another member, I've come to the conclusion that all I have to do is flip flop the shaft and instead of the "c" clip I'll just use a 2mm collar.

I just did this, minus the collar I have to pick up at my lhs and all seems to be exactly what I needed.

Plenty of room for a collar.
