Question
Please help me find a new 70mm jet.

I'm looking for a 70mm jet that is composite and retract ready. For the last couple of days I've been looking around the web and searching here bit I'm not really finding what I want. I would like it to have full ducting as well. Scale or sport is fine.

So if you guys could throw out your suggestions I would appreciate it.

A pretty vague request! If you don't know what you want, how are we supposed too? Scale or sport is fine, that pretty well covers everything out there. We need more "specificity".

I knew someone would say it was too vague of a request. So what specifics do you want specifically ?

I've had an eFlite Hawk but didn't like the fixed gear and no ducting. I like the HET single 70mm's except the two that are retract ready I don't care for (MIG 15 and 21). I really like the F20 but the intakes are all wrong and its not retract ready. The Efflux/Air Sally F20 is awesome but I'm not ready to spend that much on an airframe yet.

There's the Projet F4...by the way I'm not opposed to twin 70mm jets...

If its a scale jet I'd like one that is atleast decent looking.

I like the Super Sniper 70mm but it's not retract ready...maybe if I was Wade Joos I could just build a new wing for retracts...

I'll be using Hoffman Storm 70's on 5s BTW.

Well done!!

In a situation like this, the only one that can choose, is you!! You know what you like and don't like, and when you see the particlar plane, only you will know.

It would be like you sending me to the store to buy you a pair of pants. All I would know is waist size. Long or short leg, dress pants or jeans, etc, etc, etc.?
Too many possible choices. I think the ball is in your court! I know, not much help.

Thanks for the suggestion on the foamy

So if there are so many choices out there that are:

1). 70mm
2). Composite
3). Retract ready

Then why hasn't anyone named even one?

Graves RC has the SAPAC Vipers.

I have the struts that were designed for them. (but not the retracts)
If you get one, and need a power system (700-2500w...4s- 6s) let me know.
5s, is a great middle of the road setup. (not too heavy) About 120-125 in a clean Viperjet.

The SAPAC L-39 and T-45 are great jets too...If you can find one.

Thanks for the usefull reply Gary. Yeah I'm really liking the Viperjet and L-39. Someone also PM'd me about a new HET F16 that is retract ready. So are there different struts for the L-39 that you carry?

I don't have anything that is properly sized for the L-39, and the SAPAC L-39 struts are no longer available. Unless you can find some, somwhere.
Our Tam's struts are too big for those Jets.
You may find something suitable from RC Lander or Hobby King.
If your not worried about the "scale" appearance, the Viper struts will work fine. (especially if you have not yet cut the wing for the struts/wheels) The Viper struts are straight legs, not trailing links.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder how it compares to the Sapac size wise and quality wise...

BTW The mailman just dropped off my Sapac L39 Breitling today. I still want to pick up the Viperjet but does the HobbyKing one even compare?
