Are you sure you need a 1 watt Tx? Reason I ask is high power Tx's tend to make placement of other components more limited. RMRC is the place to buy from.

CF is optional and to be used in the stabilizer, if you follow this forum you will find a lot of references about it. The manual do not have this information. Some others installations prefer plane carbon fiber, you can get one in RMRC. bye

hello, I have seen many issues with go pro and other cams, kind of RF interference. My suggestion is made a Faraday cage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage), in practical terms is put your camera inside of metallic cage (with the lens open for sure), my camera has this problem but there is NOISE SHIELDING KIT to fix this problem. it will be easy to made it. regards

Depend on where it mounts on the wood plate. The outer hole set gets the 3mm and the inner gets 2mm.

About what I have done.
Only I got the 400mW unit with the cloverleaf

I'd go with the 800mw instead of the 1000 due to price. You won't notice 200mw in the air.

Thanks. Im using the 1 watt in my fpv raptor and with the crosshair im getting excellent range at 8-10 miles away. I would like my Penguin to get similar range if not further which is why i am deciding on the 1 watt.

Buddy of mine uses a 1500mw on his penguin but it seems overkill to me. He is getting incredible range with that setup.

Sounds good! To answer you question about the Tx fitting behind the camera, it will be fine. However, I don't run my transmitters with the case on.

Running the VTX on top of electronics wont be as beneficial using the Cloverleaf. If the space below the antenna doesn't have batteries etc then you will be alright. I mounted my vtx on the tail boom.

I have seen a couple guys using the D3536-5 1350kv Aerodrive motor. I just took one of those off my Zephyr and plan to put it on my Penguin - not happy with the oem motor I bought with the Penguin,

Would the NTM prop drive 35-30a 1400kv 560w make a good choice?

Make sure you get clay that DOES NOT DRY! This is most important! I would also recommend picking up some PVA mold release. You can get PVA locally at West Marine (sometimes) or online (CST - composite structure technology, Fiberglast and a bunch of others).

I'd recommend BID (bi-directional) fiberglass cut on a 45 degree bias. BID is easier to get around compound curves. Cutting on a 45 helps with the unraveling.

well, I got the clay but only one I could find was multicolor for kids so it's a playdo. Will try this. You don't know the brand name of the clay u used?
