I finally have a chance to test again our 4s4p standard battery with LOGO 10 yesterday.(B50-11)
I have two packs of 4s4p which we had an accident 2 months ago while flying Logo20.
The Logo 20 was total, the accident happened after 5 and a half minutes of the flight, I check the remaining power the next day with my Cadex Testing anlayser. both packs have 80% of remaining capacity.
I then run another test, both tested at 100%, these results shows no degradetion of performance on both battery pack.

Since then, I put in another 8 cycles on each pack

We test these two pack yesterday in a LOGO 10
Pack 1: flight 1: 10 minutes 12 sec.
30 second break to check up motor and speed control.
flight 2: 7 minutes 30 sec.
Pack 2: flight 1: 6 minutes (20 sec break)
flight 2: 6 minutes (20 sec break)
flight 3: 5 minutes 21sec.
We then compared flight time with a 3000Nimh pack(Charged 1 hour earlier)
flight time: 5 minutes 3 sec.

We will be testing EDF applications the next two weeks.

Regards,
Charlie

Almost 18min.
Those 4S4P Thunder Power sounds pretty good, I think I saw them for something like $235

I'd say that's pretty cool

Plus they are only 21.5 ozs, 4 ozs lighter than a 12 cell SC pack with the power of 13 cells and almost 3 times the capacity!!!!!!

Are those cells available now? Did I read the logo 10 frames need to be spaced out to use them? Where can I get those?

My problem with the Eco 8 conversion to this BO 105 fuse is waiting for lithiums. I am waiting for the HV cells but then I read that Eco 8's are doing well with the cells which are currently available? The difference in wt. with lithiums and scale fuse should approximate the stock heli with conventional batteries. What should I try to do? Can anyone help?

How do I order those? Isn't the voltage lower than a 10 cell pack? I got this reply once before.

A 3s4p pack of the SV cells will put out the power of 8-9
cells. The
> 3s4p >pack of HV cells puts out the power of 10 very good
cells. We
> wont have >the 3s4p HV packs until early April though

This is where I got quite confused and wanted to wait for the HV cells.

the 11.1 V 7800 ma. 3s4p weighs as much as the 8 cell pack and hold there voltage better than the nicd or the nimh , so 11.1 volt pack is the same as a 10 cell battery 1.2 volts * 10 = 12 volts . but under a load you end up with the same or less , 1.1 * 10 = 11.1 , also with this pack , the standard pack , if you have a hot setup the you will need to rest the battery about half way so they dont get unbalenced , but I dont have that problem with my eco 8 , 30 minutes of mild ripping around , half flips and power autos and alot of quick takeoffs .

got to batteries and chargers and look for charlies name and pm him , if that dont work I think on page 28 is his email address

Charlie has spent a lot of time doing some extensive tests on the "standard voltage" cells in comparison to the "high voltage" cells...

The good news is, that after a few cycles, the "standard voltage" cells are perfoming much like the higher voltage ones have in the past! It was an unexoected result - much like the result we get after a few cycles on a new NiCad or NiMh pack when they "break in" or get better with use.

For a heli like the ECO 8, the packs currently available are perfect. They can readily deliver 3.5C continuous, which is around 30+ amps, and the ECO 8 draws no where near that (closer to 20 amps and under).

The only place the higher voltage cells showed better performance in the past was in the Logo 10 with a "hot" motor set up. This set up was averaging 30-40 amps continuous and much higher under load....VERY hot set up using the 11L motor. But again, the current cells thought to be "standard voltage" are performing far better than anticipated and are perfect for your application!

Id email Charlie direct to get a pack ASAP. I know theyre going fast

Have you by chance weighed any, or noticed their weight mentioned anywhere? (Asking since even relatively typical 8-cell packs still vary to quite a degree. After today's failiure to fly with 7 cells NiMH, it appears I am too looking for LiPo batteries.)
