Just preordered red, white, and blue w/ power combo....does anyone know if that airboss 80 will support a 6s setup...digital servos...without the internal bec woosing out?

Yes 6S works great with this set-up and has become my favorite power source for the Edge. Running a Xoar 15x6 I am pulling only 55 Amps and seeing 1200 Watts. Everything stays nice and cool and power is incredible.

Pulled the trigger on a red, white, and blue one, and a RED spinner.

It'll be a race to see if this gets here before the 59" Slick.

I'm spendin' way too much money.

Hey Chris,
Are you telling me I don't need to use a external bec on a 6s setup....I've always been told .... anything over 5s ... you should use external bec.....Does the Airboss 80 support 6 volt output for servos?
On a side note,.......Ive been trying to trade my EF 70", Extra all set up to a fellow pilot at my club for his 1964 Richenbacher bass (don't quite know the year)....He's always telling me to go fly a kite.....What!!...isn't an EF 70 Extra worth a Vintage Richenbacher?.....In a little time, EF 70 Extra will age like a good wine...

I am all decked out for 6s.. I have like 10 packs 2650-3000mah. Thanks to my trex 500

Torque 4016/500 -- you can buy the plane with the combo motor and esc.

wish I had seen the blue yellow in person.I got to hold the rwb in perry.Awsome!But wondering bout the yellow blue..

I have the RWB in the 48 inch version and I love the scheme. But the blue/yellow looks GREAT..

soundchaser, I along with Team Extreme Pilot Chris Jewett have been beating on 3 of these aircraft relentlessly for several months with a 6S 3300 pack using the internal BEC of the Airboss Elite 80 with no issues. They do indeed provide 6 Volts to the servos.

That would be one heck of a trade if you can get your buddy to agree to it! I love my planes but a 1960s Ric is pretty much "Holy Grail" territory. Keep after him!
