i glued wood pop sticks to the under side of the hatch on the front end ,left and right sides.Which go under the yellow section remaining on the front nose section.
I glued a magnet on a step at the underside of the rear end,sticking out about 1/4"with a washer glued to the top underside of the top hatch....Some what like the copit...

I love my spitfire, been thinking about getting a t-28.

Wow you have been very busy on the spitfire haven't you! I love my spitfire too. Was going to maiden mine on the weekend past, but it was too windy here on Saturday when I had the time. Fingers crossed for this Saturday

I think my Dynam Spit looks good standing still, and can't wait to see it in full flight. I think I will be the most worried that I have ever been on a maiden as I have always loved spitfires and this will be my first RC spitfire.

I now have my heart set on one of the new Dynam 109s. That will be my next dynam plane. Love the look of it, plus it will be the perfect partner to the spitfire.

Don't sweat the maiden. Just remember that it wants to nose over on the ground and to keep up elevator during taxi and initial takeoff but ease up and she will just fly away. This plane is a pussycat that can be as mellow or nimble as you choose, enjoy!

I am painting the D-day stripes onto my Spit. I should have it done this week and I'll post some photos when done. I have not maidened her yet.

Sounds pretty promising! I can fly my Cessna, dynam Texan, and 800mm p51 without issue, so the spitfire should not be too hard. I think I am just a bit apprehensive as I have put more time and care into this plane than any of my others, and being a spitfire it is such a sweet looking plane. Hopefully I will have some good news come Saturday night.

Yup, I am really looking forward to seeing the stripes on the plane. I have a buddy that is a painter "cars" that is doing it for me. He said he would have it done for me to pick up Friday. I cannot wait to see her. The bad news is I have to travel out of town the next two weekends so her maiden is still at least 3 weeks away

LOL, I am cutting my teath on aPZ Corsair that a friend gave me. I luv it......

I'm assembling my first Dynam plane, the T28 Trojan. Had a bear of a time getting the hold down screws in the wing to line up and catch hold. Mighty small screws for this size plane. I'm gonna be mad dammit if they don't hold!

They use the same sized screws for the Dynam Texan and Spitfire. I can say that in the Texan, I had a had crash in it when I accidentally put the wrong battery in it, and wings screwed into the fuse were one of the only parts intact, so they are pretty strong. It should be fine provided that you can get the screws to grab into the plastic tabs on the fuse properly. Good luck.

Wow, that is now two dynam planes that is on my wish list, the 109, and now the 262. The 262 is going to look fantastic going by at 80mph.
