batteries for air hogs transmitters - can I use rechargeables?

I have some new 2450 mA AA Energizer rechargeable batteries - can I use these in my transmitter instead of alkaline or would they screw it up? Figured I better ask some people who know first...

Thanks,
Jim

jim:

Rechargeable batteries have a slightly lower voltage then regular batteries. The way I worked around this was to make an external battery pack (the BatPak I call it). It adds an extra battery or two depending on the particular model. For a 4 cell transmitter it uses five batteries (4.8 volts), for a 6 cell TX it uses eight batteries (9.6 volts).
