Which flying boat next?

Even though I'm just about to begin building my Boeing 314 prototype, I'm always looking down the road at which will be the next flying boat in the design queue, so please vote for the design you would most like to see take to the air. I have three aircraft in mind:

1. Short Sunderland (civilian variant Short Sandringham)
2. Sikorsky VS-44 (military variant XPBS-1)
3. Hughes H-1 Hercules (Spruce Goose)

I vote Sikorsky.....the Hughes is kind of plain looking as far as being able to add scale details, not to mention the amount of engines on it!

Since there seems to be more interest in the Sikorsky VS-44 I thought I'd post a few more pics of it. If this is the next flying boat I design, it will be done so that the military variant (only 1 was ever built) can be built.

Zeke already knows my vote on this one. I will tell you that it took me many trips to the archives to get all the data and blueprints for both versions of the plane. I am looking forward to the 44 finally getting to the point of being brought to life

I really like your choice for the next project , the VS-44 is a very beautifull flyingboat. I would like it very much if you and zeke open a thread in the design phase also i know takes lots of time but i'll bet lot of forum members are interested in this process.

Cheers,

Bart

Interesting idea...I always thought people might be bored with something like that, but maybe not.
