No debate....all good. Set up well, she does fly easily. I fly almost exclusively in Stab mode with RVOSD and easy to avoid high adventure with airspeed. 5050 with a 15x8 xoar on 6S10000 gives you plenty of airspeed. My biggest issue is it does fly like a 747 and is not my first choice for proximity flying. I get aggressive with my Zephyrs but the Titan is really only good for lumbering around. I guess you can fly proximity with this but I've said it before, this is not the plane you want to try and get out of the top of a 100ft pine tree.

That's really the best word for it. I couldn't seem to put my finger on it before but I like that word to describe how it cruises.

I've done some proximity flying with it but not too much. I mostly end up being the object to follow during formation flying.

Great! Thank you both for the flying quality descriptions. A large and lumbering aircraft is exactly what I wanted - I'll be flying around in the flat and open farmland of Ohio.

I'll still plan on getting my other aircraft flighworthy to build up some flight time experience , but this lessens my anxiety

I cut out a side hatch for my pixhawk. you can just stuff the cut out foam back in and put tape over it OR,what i did was made a cover to place over the cut out.Access is now easy to get to my pixhawk.

I have since cleaned up the foam cut out--Not that it was needed/its covered up when closed,I am just mental that way, like most of us are in the hobby--Many would protect their pride and say anal.LOL!!

Thank you.

Thank you my friend. Did a maiden and this thing is a BIG teddy bear. You can just about drop it straight down from a standstill in as little as 5-8mph it seems like. I had to dial up the ail throws a bit,but now is awesome. Definitely is NOT an aerobatic platform--LOL!! But for FPV--PERFECT!!

Without going thru the whole post,

Would people care to share the Longest flight time ? so i can get an idea of what range this Big baby has.

At moment i can fly 2 hours Plus with the FPV Ranger EX and the MTD (Twin prop)

with 20 AH running 4S.

What is the Titan capabilities fully loaded with lipo packs.

( We just run a 360 pan and tilt plus mobius) teh rest is battery and radio gear.

Cheers folks.

I run the RMRC 12.4Ah 6S battery and I think I've safely achieved ~50mins of flight, give or take? Usually its less but I like to play with it. When I want to fly efficiently though I can cruise as low as ~4-6Amps, so from there you can do the math. That's running a Pixhawk with ArduPlane and crusing at roughly 32mph. Hope that helps!

thanks for your reply, seems not to be a really Long range craft. more a mothership for carrying nice juicy gear!

with my Ranger EX i have gotten with a 10AH 4S 80 plus mins, and have tested it with another 10AH ( 20AH total) in the air it flies well, have not a chance to max it out to see the range.

Anyways....

I know of missions it has performed with 10-12.4Ah that go as far as 13-15 miles out, but yeah its not a horribly efficient airframe for long range. At some point I intend to put both of my 12.4's on board and see how long it'll fly.
I just checked my logs on droneshare and it looks like my longest flight with 12.4Ah on board was just under 70mins so that does support a potential range of 15miles under good conditions with my current setup (that I know I can improve.)

There are many missions inside the 25-42min mark as well as that seems to be the average, but those are times I'm usually just fussing about locally and not trying to go far away.

Good luck with your decision!
