I ended up getting 2x ds610 servos plus one of their clone tail servos. Ended up paying another $25 to get another ds610 servo (= scam ?). Once I installed the servos one of the ds610's operated intermitantly. I took this apart and found that the gearsets were very rough and there was very little gear lube.

I've scraped all these servos and will probably only be able to salvage servo arms and mounting accessories.

Lesson learnt, you get what you pay for imho!

Don't waste your $'s on these clones imho.

For a few extra $'s you are much better to buy proven components, not cheap clones imho.

No quality 3D guy is ever going to endorse this stuff because while he might get the best clone bits, others will get garbage (because of poor quality control).

Just my opinion, really up to you

Cheers,

My new servos seem to be very nice and smooth. I had to put a voltage reducer on the tail and must say It makes a high pitch sound when moving almost like a brushless controller. On a great note it stays and is totally quite when I stop moving it. So there is zero creep unlike a lot of tail servos.

The only thing keeping the logo on the ground is the FBL controller. Just have not made up my mind lol!

Just an update on the VCTRC 3GX. Mine is still going strong. Flying it side by side with the robird G31, the VCTRC has better cyclic and tail, but the robird has better piro compensation.

Let's hope the VCTRC v3 has an improvement in this area, as my MB v3 has good piro comp.

Good to hear as there has been some failures of the HB800. I also want to see more vibration resistance.

I have this coming from ehirobo http://www.ehirobo.com/shop/Flybarle...duct_info.html

Got it because it was $54 with shipping and it won't take a month to get here. As always their directions are none existent, but I plan on just setting it up the same as the others. I will fill everyone in!

Mhills...i was following the thread for it however soneebee doesn't seem too satisfied with his at the moment. I'm in no rush with the 500. I installed my old ALZRC 3GY on until they release the new beastx clone. I really hope they make it more vibration resistant.

soneebee was having some weird glitches, which he wasn't getting with the 3x1000 in the same heli. It'll be interesting to see if Hills gets the same glitches, and we need more guinea pigs for the 2000!

can't be any worse than the cyclic gain that is shot in my HB800. Watching my 450 act like a top is amusing I must say. I keep taking it back up just to see if it would stop. Turned the gain all over the place. Remounted the unit with all different tapes. This is the one that never worked right.

Me too, but then I searched V6 3GX and found lots of occurrences that were 2012.
