Tail of Orion. . .

I've now hard attached the molded fiberglass tail to the Orion's main body and am adding spackle to the place where the two parts meet.

How I'm gonna feed a hungry EDF. . .

Well after some thought on how to best feed air to the Orion's single 70mm edf . . I came to the decision to cut an air intake directly into the upper bulb itself.

I hope this works!

I'm now building the Orion's tail mounted 70mm EDF pillars that the fan unit will rest on.

Orion's Retracts. . .

I'm now getting ready to 8 stall the Orion's retracts. . The mains will be servoless and the nose will be a mechanical servoed retract.

Wheel wells. . .

I'm now cutting in the wheel wells for the Orion's main gear and nose gear.. . And yes there will be gear doors.

Orion's control surfaces. . .

I've now installed the Orion's ailerons & flaps. .. I can add flaps because I'm going to add a clear plastic stabilizer to the tail.

Orion in the sun. . .

It's such a nice day out I'd thought I'd take a few snaps of my Orion in the sunlight.

Next I'm going to install the retracts and flight control servos then paint her with a gloss white and add the decals.
