ok....finally made my selections and just purchased the motor and ESC. here is my setup:

Motor: Motrolfly DM 4325-380kv
ESC: CC Phoenix Ice 100
Prop: Xoar 19x10
Batt: HK 6s 5000
Servos: (Ail/Rudd) HS-5625 MG Digital, (Elev) HS-5245 MG Digital
RX: Spektrum AR-7010
RX Batt: LiFe 2s 1100, direct connect to RX

don't know AUW yet, but i always shoot for light as feasable. however, there really arean't that many places to save so i'll probably be around 9.5lbs, but will post when i know.

I need some recommendations as to a good motor that won't break the bank and can run on 6s 7s and 8s with gobs of power. I was looking at motrofly and can't decide as to which to choose.

the 4325 is a powerhouse and is very durable.Customer service after the sale is unmatched. Dep on which power you wish to run will determine which KV I recommend. Let me know,or shoot Ken an email. I think anything bigger than the 4325 on the extra 70 is too big but you "could" try the 4330 or 5330. Balance may be an issue tho as ive not personally tried these on this plane.
The 4325 is proven tho.
4325 on 8s 20x8 or 20x10 with a kv of 280 will be nuts.
6s-380 kv 19x10 will rawk the plane as well.
call Ken for 7s winds and he can work something up for ya.

The motor I was looking at, but did not confirm with Ken yet, was the Motrolfly DM4325 with the 340Kv because it can probably do about 2000W on 6S with a 20x11 prop, 1950W on 7S with the 19x8, and 2300W with an 18x8 on 8S. The 380Kv is probably too 'hot' for 8S.

the 380 is def too hot for 8s,thats why I said 19x10 on 6 lol
So you are wanting to run all 3 batttery configurations? Changing props a lot? Or just want to see which one you like the best? i like to tinker too.
Those number sound very close to what will happen with a 340 KV.
