Here is a picture of full scale Stuka at the Royal Airforce Museum in London. For all those who may want to investigate the possibility of destroying this specimen, here are the instructions:

1. Locate a rock.
2. Pick up a rock.
3. Scroll down to the picture below.
4. Toss the rock at the scrren it is displayed on (the screen in front of you).
5. Repeat as necessary until the picture is completely gone.

I built 2 models of Don Gentile's P-51 and it had swastikas all over the side by the cockpit, would you stomp those too?

The first one I had to sell when I got orders to come back state-side, it was the 60" .60 size that I flew with my old Futaba 5 channel FM that is now illegal to use. Topflite no longer makes this kit, I would love to have another. I sold it in 1979.

Are you really so convinced of your isolation from world events to think that you would have been left alone once Europe had fallen? Where do you think most of your early rocket scientists came from? If they can send rockets to the moon, reaching the US from Europe was childs play.
To denigrate the German navy is unkind and inaccurate. They were, just as were those flying aircraft adorned with the offending emblem (or without it), brave men doing their duty for their country. Whether its' political views were correct or not doesn't detract from what they did as men, not as Nazis.
It just strikes me as strange that we can admire the activities of WW1 German fliers, boldly displaying the markings they used, but for political reasons WW2 German servicemen are, by some, considered less worthy.

Yes, I know the original post was purely aimed at winding us up, but it has provided interesting replies. Sometimes debatable replies, but interesting for all that.
If nothing else, it proved that every community has its' idiots and this one is a prime example of the breed.

I have served in my country's armed forces and have nothing but respect for those others who've done the same, no matter what country it may have been or when it was.

BTW,
I think you'll find Napoleon lost his war - twice.

Anyway, if we're going to stir things up, that's my two penneth. I've probably managed to offend just about every nationality or creed. Something I seem to be getting quite good at. If it's you I've offended I'm sorry. I simply love a debate and can argue just as strongly for views I don't hold as for those I do. Yes, a perverse beggar, aren't I.

The "hammer and sickle" has spawned more bloodshed that the swastika, by far.

As someone else already posted; evil will always find another symbol.

Rockets are very simple, anyone could have come up with that. But yes, many American rocket scientists came from Germany. I think that begs the question why they left Germany, and why Germany isn't a superpower today if they came up with (by themselves or with help, like the US) all this technology.

Also, you are seriously wrong on your thesis that US would even possibly fall if Europe fell. I'll give you three guesses to name one of the two correct answers..........

Last, I'm not an idiot, so please fix your post before some moderator happens to come across it. Maybe you said this because you're German? I posted this just because I was surprised at the number of Nazi planes, when many people are definitely touchy about the subject. (Yes I understand I'm unfortunately overboard on it anyways) I understand these are just models/toys, so there is no need for anyone including me to get upset over them.

There are a few curious things to note.

The rocket scientists only left Germany or face the trials/hanging.
We also offered them immunity.

German technology was superior, in fact the scientists working on the bomb were actually DELAYING the bomb so Hitler would not have it to use. They knew he would use it.

Germany had designed, but not yet perfected, a jet aircraft taht was capable of reaching N ew York - with the SOLE PURPOSE of dropping the a-bomb on New York.

They were quite a ways ahead of their time.

But these are the PEOPLE of Germany, not the Nazi party - not to mistake the two.

I have heard stories though about allied troops making the local villagers clean up all of the mess at Auwitchz.

The Nazi party, much like the Baath party, very bad thing.

But the symbol is just a symbol of that, and of historical times in Sumaria 4000 years previous.

...............all hearsay. No-they were not "close" to a bomb. They also were not close with a plane, despite efforts. Meanwhile the B-29 was operational before a single German prototype took off the ground. But, they were stalling because Hitler would use it of course.

Much evidence shows the Germans had no idea how much heavy water was needed, nor did they have any infrastructure in place to process Uranium.

See a cited article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_...energy_project

Wikipedia, that's funny.

U-234.
You are correct that we destroyed their facilities in 1943, Japan was a better bet to finish the job so off went the uranium.
But I had watched a documentary on History channel a couple years ago where the scientsts, interviewed in the 60's or 70's, said they were dragging their feet.

U-234 was intercepted 14May45 by USS Sutton (DE-771), a short time later by Coast Guard cutter Forsyth, and arrived Portsmouth, NH, on 17May.1

The Uranium carried by U-234 was enough to make two atomic bombs, to blow up two American cities -- 1,235 pounds of 77 percent pure uranium oxide -- unusable by the destroyed Nazi hopes, it was destined for the Japanese atomic bomb program.
The U-234 executive officer supervised the opening of the containers in Washington, DC, and reports he was told that one of the Americans was Oppenheimer. It is generally believed the the uranium was taken over by the Manhattan project, but its ultimate use, if any, is lost in secrecy. It was most certainly sent to Oak Ridge, but there was probably not enough time for it to have been processed and used in the two WW2 weapons. It certainly would have been in followup weapons and probably was expended at Bikini Atoll or in Nevada.
