Rustoleum Neverwet spray

Haven't seen this, but just heard about it. May be something to look into for protection of balsa and other things we use that we might want to keep dry.
Thought I'd share it with some of you tech savvy folks that might want to look into it. Apparently, It'll cause chocolate syrup to run off of your tennis shoes. So now we won't have to worry if the flying is flooded with chocolate at least!

Hoss, silicon sprays have been around for quite awhile, Rust-oleum maybe just got in the game? I've used Camp Dry by Kiwi for years on tent flies, ski pants and rain suits. Now if they would come out with anti sink spray....:

Aeajr hit the nail on the head. It's not silicone. More like a paint. Haven't seen it yet around here though.. The youtube videos are pretty interesting though. I wonder how flexible it is?

Thanks for the thread Hossfly!!! I'd not heard of the product before, but after seeing some of the videos, it looks like it could be quite useful. Might be able to treat your clothes and make a boat of them.

Probably heavy for waterproofing balsa. I can think of a lot of great uses for it though.

What gets me is reading through the specs. Notice the "Recycling fee in CA and OR"?

Jeeeeeez.
