I built another board,up loaded the FT1.7 code to it and installed it into my QTR. The motors work (-1, bad ESC) but the ailerons and tilt don't. I got the code from this thread. The last one posted for F&T. PinA0 =left aileron,A1=right aileron, and A2=tilt.
I have the tilt in receiver channel 8-aux3. Aux 3 is mixed to activate flaps with 3 positions for the 3 tilt positions.

How do I get them to work. I do have power on the red and black wires to the servos.I have not tried to change anything in the code.

Beginner looking for a setup from scratch.

Hi guys,

I am a beginner here with vtol. It looks like a lot of fun. I have been flying RC Planes for 12 years and do a lot of scratch builds.

If you had it to do over what would be your choice for the best setup? I have read the thread for start to end and seen lots of options.

I plan to build this X-19 Humming Bird

I would really appreciate any and all feedback. Also, any feedback on where to get the software would be great. !!!!

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I believe that I have my CNC machine back together enough
to start making kits again.
I have some foam stocks and a have another 2 cases
of depron arriving on Wednesday.

I've made web page changes, so if you discover
something amiss please let me know right away.
Also NO MORE Black depron offerings.

I still have to get shipping boxes locally.
A trip to deepest darkest downtown Indianapolis is my
next step on Monday, then I'll be ready to go.

Thanks for your patience while I moved 2400 miles,
bought a new house and moved back in. Wheew !

As always I'm here to serve.

F&T, if you are going to put that many motors on a plane you should just put a full sized cockpit on it as well.

Go to www.multiwii.com this gives you the basics of the multiwii board. The multiwii board is different than the KK board, and is the board used by Foam and Tape for the QTR vtol you say you want to build. F&T and RCvertt have successfully built the QTR vtol. I have built one, photos and video are posted earlier in this thread. RCvertt has helped me with my project but I haven't gotten everything working yet but I'm close. I think if you read this thread while you build the board using the multiwii web page, you will learn a lot. The plans are posted for the airframe.

I am needing help with the code to get my tilt servo and my ailerons working. I am also waiting for a replacement for a bad ESC.

I only did the motor code for F&T. F&T did all the motor tilting and aileron stuff himself so I will refer to my boss F&T on how he did that.

The motor code is only set up for a two position switch. The receiver AUX channel that you use has to be plugged into the ProMini pin 7.

In the configurator make sure the AUX 1 channel goes from 1200 to 1900 as you move your switch. 1200 = Hover mode motor commands. 1900 = Forward Flight motor commands. To see the affect in the configurator, Don't connect the flight battery, connect USB power to the ProMini, start the configurator and arm the motors. With the AUX switch at 1200 you should see the motor graph act like a normal quadcopter. With the AUX switch at 1900 your motors should only respond to throttle stick commands.
