Looks good Dennis-- seems like the 'hook" is a little bigger on this one, compared to yesterdays pic. But that's a good thing-- more scale.

I'll PM you shortly.

Yeah I've looked at pics from lots of angles and compared against my own model etc but I've only one pair of eyes (and if you want to know the truth I can't see out of one of them very well., I digress ) So yeah, if you guys see any room for modification let me know. I made a classifieds post that we can take discussion on these parts to.

Thanks for the +1

Yeah I think they turned out pretty well. I can't wait to see a finished sanded/painted one someones plane. I haven't had time to work on mine yet. Been too busy printing! (And it's flying season for me got to wait till it snows before I go down in the basement and finish things up. Hopefully this is the last building season for my bug and it can fly next spring..... said that last year.)

Well, I don't think it will be mine!! I too, am a slow builder--

Still accumulating needed "stuff". I do have all the epoxy/fiberglassing materials now, and wood should be in next week--sometime??
One hefty order to Tower should provide the balance of items. A small one to Dreamworks should take care of the rest.

I don't know if "funny " is the right word, but all these orders are starting to add up! $$$$$$..

I think everyone knows that USPS, UPS or FedX gets there fair share too!

The hook looks great! When my Hornet survives the first few flights I will consider adding one. Would you ship to Germany then?

As announced several hundreds posts above I am getting closer to maiden. Some pics with paint applied.

Very nice! Sure I'll ship a part wherever. We just have to figure out shipping costs but they're very light so I don't imagine it'd be terribly expensive. Just PM me when you're ready.

Thanks, Dennis, Ron and Yoram!

I've mounted all the internals now and with 11s 5000 Nano-Techs the CG is spot on and the AUW including some cockpit detail (work on the office will be continued after maiden) is below 16 lbs.

Final job will be setting up the controls. Multiplex radio.

Well i just bought the las one of these from sean at yellow. I got all the fixings to. The only thing i am waiting on is the brakes. I went with the stock gear I hope it's not a mistake. That fancy rccrafter gear is nice but i don't care to cut out that much.

Probably going turbine to do this extinct animal justice. What's too heavy? A 100n turbine will probably be pushing 20 lbs but a 60N turbine may be anemic...

Decisions!

Exciting. Hope you finish it faster than I am mine. Life sort of got in the way the 2nd half of this year and I haven't made progress on mine.

I think you'll be more happy with the stock gear. The rc crafters are hard to get to fit. Someone else will have to chime in on the turbine though. I'm sure it'll go faster than with the fan and batteries though!

I actually have both gears. I ordered the RC Crafters, and then decided to switch to the stock, so you didn't make a bad decision there, in my opinion. I'm still waiting for electric retracts and have electro-magnetic brakes for it. I think that an 80N turbine would be plenty for this plane. It should give you some 16lb on a 16lb plane...

I'm a big EDF guy but I've yet to see an edf have the vert lines of a turbine on larger non foam jet without it costing about the same $$. I have a 4kw mig and it has great vert but nothing compared to my turbines........

Glad to see I picked the right gear.

What fan is in this one?

Dennis, Yoram, and Radar-Guy Thanks for the help you've provided for my project-- ..My plane as you know is not the Y/A, and slightly smaller, (1/10.4 scale) so I could get by with these retracts-

I did get the intakes revamped to the "C" variant style, and now working on ducting -- Can't move forward until ducting is all done,,
