Another vote for the Anylink. I use on on the micro F-86 with no issues at all. It's a great solution for those of us who don't want to lug around yet another Tx.

Just maidened the Nieuport. Awesome easy flier! Smiles all around. Video and pictures to come.
Flew it bound to the TTX402 Tx that came with my Dr1.
I have a Dx8 and unfortunately whatever gizmo I needed to power the Anylink was not availalble at my LHS. And I'm not keen on having extra encumbrances in the form of a LiFe battery or whatever it takes to make it work on the Dx8
So the Anylink gets a thumbs down from me! I have it up for trade on the the classified for a good old cheezy TTX402 Tx

But I'm not going to let that dark cloud ruin the silver lining of having another micro WW1 bipe.

Thanks FZ! You build 'em I'll buy 'em How bout a DH2 and an Eindecker next?????

A dH2 would be a real treat!

Dave-- I'm hoping you'll be up early enough to join us for the Dawn Patrol. There'll be lots of Albatros' and Dr1's in the skies over the valley. We've had no quarry to stalk until now that is.

I believe several people have clipped the plug off the DX7 cable and just plug in a small 2S lipo. Check the Anylink thread started by Gordon as I remember. Or not!

BlazingStar,

Take a look at Post #159 for what I did to allow the use the AnyLInk with my DX8. Simple and cheap!

Since the picture was taken, I've mounted the AnyLink directly to the battery box with 'servo tape'. That configuration is even more compact than before, plus it's out of the way when not being used.

Thanks Don. I'll take a good look at that. But I think I still prefer the dedicated transmitter. My Dx8 model memory is full anyway. Hopefully someone will answer my trade posti.

Got another flight in this morning.
Super fun and beautiful to boot!

Bee-ware of the HUN-ibee in the sun!

Took forever to teach the bee to fly formation like that

The restof the photos are HERE.

And here's a quick hat-cam video
N17 2 (2 min 24 sec)

Too bad I had to steal the Tx from my Dr1 to fly the Nieuport, we could have had a dog-fight video!

How is the gear drive sound compared to the Albatros and Fokker?

noisy. High pitched whine though, not the nice gravely rattle.

Yes indeed Pete. With much regret he abandoned the ill fated DH2
I've been following your micro builds with much lust and jealousy, but will happily settle for the RTF offerings

I just watched your video... I really like the look of the WWI birds when they are flying by and I esp like the Nieuports

This NP is ripe for some proper moding... Scheme, details etc.

Looks like Blazing Star has already done some modding - streaking the body and painting the wheels. Looks smashing.
